MCDU Pants - black multicam

The MCDU Pants - black multicam are designed for intensive movement and long-term use with plenty of equipment. In black multicam, they combine an ergonomic cut with elastic zones, reinforced knees, ventilation options, and a very extensive pocket layout. The decisive difference compared to simpler cargo pants lies not only in the number of pockets, but in how the pants support movement when kneeling, crouching, climbing, or changing positions quickly. Helikon-Tex purposefully uses different fabrics in various areas for this purpose. This creates trousers for airsoft, shooting sports, outdoor training, professional use, and demanding tours where mobility, robust knee areas, and quick access to small equipment are more important than a civilian look.

Material, cut, and freedom of movement

For this version, NyCo Ripstop (50% nylon, 50% cotton) is used as the main material. Regardless of the material variant, Helikon-Tex additionally incorporates VersaStretch® in high-movement areas and reinforces the knee area with CORDURA® 500D. This means they are not fully elastic pants: the stretch is positioned specifically where it provides the most benefit during movement. This is important to know if you are coming from pure stretch outdoor trousers and expect a consistently soft material.

• VersaStretch® inserts at the waist, crotch, and back of the knees reduce tension when kneeling, crouching, and taking long strides.
• CORDURA® 500D reinforces the knees where high abrasion occurs from frequent ground contact.

The MCDU is especially worthwhile if you actually make use of the ventilation, reinforced knees, and extensive pocket organization. For an inconspicuous everyday look, the UTP is more comfortable; the MBDU has a slightly simpler design. With the MCDU, also pay attention to the material variant: DyNyCo is particularly elastic, NyCo Ripstop places more emphasis on classic robustness, and PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop offers a balanced middle ground.
