1. Chest circumference
Measure your chest at the widest point, holding the tape horizontally.
2. Waist circumference
Measure your waist without holding too tightly or too loosely.
3. Hip circumference
Measure the circumference at the widest point of your hips without holding too tightly or too loosely.
4. Inseam length
Measure the inside of the leg in a straight line, measuring from the crotch to the ankle.
5. Height
Measure your height standing against a wall in a natural, upright position.

The Helikon-Tex MCDU Pants are technically designed tactical trousers for users who want to combine high mobility with reinforced stress zones, ventilation, and extensive pocket organization. The main DyNyCo fabric is four-way elastic, while areas requiring high mobility are additionally equipped with VersaStretch inserts.
What are the MCDU Pants suitable for?
- Outdoor and long treks: elastic materials support large strides, kneeling, and frequent changes in position.
- Training, Airsoft, and shooting sports: twelve pockets distribute smaller equipment across various areas.
- Warm and changing conditions: side ventilation openings with mesh can be opened when more airflow is needed.
- Intensive use: knee and seat areas are designed for heavy-duty wear.
DyNyCo and VersaStretch explained simply
DyNyCo is Helikon-Tex's elastic version of a nylon-cotton fabric. The material mix additionally contains elastane and can move in multiple directions. This is particularly comfortable when kneeling, climbing, or sitting.
VersaStretch is used in areas where a high degree of mobility is required, for example at the waist, crotch, and behind the knees. The material is lighter and more elastic than the reinforced main zones.

If you are primarily looking for an inconspicuous urban look, a UTP model is usually the better choice. The MCDU, on the other hand, is particularly suitable when reinforcements, ventilation, and freedom of movement are important during intensive activity. Knee pads can only be used if you use matching inserts separately.
