DESCRIPTION
The TT Modular Medic Pack 38 is a large-volume, modular first-aid backpack for situations where small, personal equipment is no longer sufficient. With 38 liters of volume, a fully opening main compartment, six removable transparent hook-and-loop pouches, two wide-opening front compartments, and a large lid pocket, it is designed for extensive, clearly organized equipment. This makes it particularly suitable for rescue and medical services, first responder teams, corporate emergency organizations, event and security services, search-and-rescue structures, as well as larger outdoor, hunting, shooting sports, or airsoft events where central first-aid equipment needs to be organized for several people. Coyote is a versatile, earthy equipment color for outdoor, training, hunting, professional organization, and existing equipment systems in brown and natural tones.
Great organization instead of a large search area
The decisive advantage lies not only in the volume, but in the layout. The main compartment can be opened completely and accommodates six hook-and-loop attached transparent pouches. Five of these can be positioned on the front side of the interior and one longer pouch on the side. In addition, there are variable attachment options for further medical equipment. This allows you to separate material by function, priority, team, or restocking logic, instead of using 38 liters as a single storage space.
Two zippered front compartments and the large lid pocket open wide and accommodate material that needs to be accessed particularly quickly or frequently. A front-accessible compartment for disposable gloves is also provided. For training, daily operations, and regular inventory, the clear view of the contents of the transparent pouches is particularly helpful: you can recognize faster which module is complete and where restocking is necessary.
Carrying system, MOLLE and expansion
The backpack uses the Padded Back System from Tasmanian Tiger and has a removable 38 mm strap as a hip belt. The length-adjustable shoulder straps are padded and can be stowed away if required or replaced by the included adapter straps for attachment to compatible professional carrying systems. A large handle facilitates handling when in the opened state. Laser-cut MOLLE refers to a modular attachment system where the mounting slots are cut directly into reinforced material. This allows compatible additional pouches or holders to be attached to the outside, while the surface remains flat and tidy. MOLLE is not a fixed accessory package: you decide for yourself whether and where you need additional modules.
Material and technology explained in an understandable way
CORDURA 700 den is a high-strength polyamide fabric for heavy-duty equipment. The denier specification describes in simplified terms the yarn strength or material class; a higher number is not automatically "better" in every application. What is decisive is the ratio of abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, and weight. Tasmanian Tiger uses the respective material thickness appropriate for the construction of this model family. The PFC/PFAS-free DWR finish mentioned by Tasmanian Tiger is a water-repellent surface treatment. It helps moisture to bead off, but does not replace a waterproof construction or a waterproof dry bag. Important for beginners: DWR describes the surface treatment and not a guarantee that the entire backpack is permanently waterproof.
38 liters or a smaller medic system?
If 38 liters are too large for your actual content, it is worth looking at smaller systems: The TT Modular Medic Combat Pack 18 offers 18 liters, a side-opening design, and stiff Tegris organization panels. The TT Medic Assault Pack L MK II is flatter with 19 liters and closer to the classic, body-hugging assault pack concept. For an even more compact assembly, the TT Medic Assault Pack MK II with 15 liters is often the more economical and handier choice. The 38 is therefore not universally "better," but is intended above all for more extensive team and reserve equipment.
Technical data at a glance
- Volume: 38 liters
- Dimensions: 61 x 28 x 20 cm
- Weight: 3.4 kg
- Material: CORDURA 700 den, 100% polyamide
- Carrying system: Padded Back-System, removable 38 mm hip belt
- Interior organization: fully opening main compartment, six removable transparent hook-and-loop pouches, variable attachment points
- Quick access: two front compartments, large lid pocket, front-accessible glove compartment
- Exterior: Laser-cut MOLLE, hook-and-loop surfaces and additional fixation option on the bottom
- Surface: PFC/PFAS-free DWR finish
The Modular Medic Pack 38 is therefore the right choice if you want to not only transport extensive equipment but organize it as a traceable system. For a single person or a deliberately reduced set, it may be oversized; for team, event, training, and professional emergency concepts, however, its clearly structured interior creates exactly the reserve that smaller packs do not offer.
