DESCRIPTION
The Jerven bivy sack, which since its invention in 1983 has also been called "the Arctic lifesaver from Norway", has fundamentally changed the outdoor life of Norwegian hunters and soldiers over the past 30 years and is now also used by many NATO member states. There are countless, very different applications for the Jerven "Duken", the Jerven bivy sack. First and foremost, it was designed as a wind and waterproof poncho/windbreak for hunters, but it can just as easily be used as a makeshift bivouac or a flexible tent tarp/persenning. The Jerven bivy sack can protect both you and your backpack from precipitation and cold. Or be pitched as a roof structure for the whole hiking group.
