DESCRIPTION
The Direct Action Bearcat Ultralight Plate Carrier is designed for the lowest possible weight and high modularity. The base platform consists primarily of elastic nylon/softshell, using laminate only where additional structure is needed. As a result, the manufacturer's current specification for size L is only about 312 g. It is important to note, however: the Bearcat is supplied in the base version without a cummerbund. You must therefore select the side connection separately to suit your planned system.
This variant is offered in Coyote Brown. The color does not change the basic construction or the intended plate fitment.
When using the Bearcat, planning the overall system is particularly important because the cummerbund is not included in the scope of delivery. Therefore, choose the plate and carrier size first, then the appropriate cummerbund, and only then the front flap or rear panel. This prevents a situation where individual components can be mechanically assembled but do not fit your desired wearing comfort in total. An ultralight carrier shows its true strengths primarily when the accessories are also consciously reduced. Anyone who expands it with a large number of heavy pouches will lose a large part of the weight advantage of the minimalist base platform.

Size M is intended for Medium or approximately 25.4 × 30.4 cm; size L for Large or approximately 34.5 × 26.5 cm. Additionally, check the plate thickness.
