DESCRIPTION

The TT Modular Chest Rig 4xM4 features a significantly more modular design than classic TT chest rigs. Four fixed front pockets form the basic setup, but the shoulder straps, side elements, and front flap are designed so that the system can be reconfigured and combined with other platforms. This makes it an interesting choice for experienced users who view a chest rig not as a finished end product, but as part of a modular system. At the same time, the basic configuration remains straightforward enough to be used immediately without additional pouches.

This IRR version uses coordinated materials and components with defined reflection properties in the near-infrared range. This does not change the basic function of the product, but it is a relevant difference compared to the standard color version. If you do not specifically require this property, you can choose based on fit, construction, and color. The TT Modular Chest Rig Pack allows the system to be expanded with a matching back section for variable storage.

What is the TT Modular Chest Rig 4xM4 suitable for?

  • Modular setups: if you want to switch between a standalone chest rig, front panel, and an expanded system.
  • Training and shooting sports: four fixed front pockets ensure clear basic organization; additional pouches can be added as needed.
  • Airsoft and training: useful when a low-profile, adaptable carrying system with quickly changeable configurations is required.
  • Users with an existing compatible system: thanks to the removable carrying harness and covered hook-and-loop back, the front piece can be integrated into other platforms.

Design and field use: What can the system do?

  • Four fixed front pockets: for M4/AR15 format, and according to the manufacturer, also suitable for certain G36 PMAG and STG formats, among others.
  • Removable carrying harness: enables switching between a standalone chest rig and use as a front panel.
  • Laser-cut MOLLE: additional pouches can be attached to the designated slots without the need for large areas of sewn-on webbing.
  • Removable, height-adjustable front flap: can accommodate a SAPI plate insert up to size M; plates are not included.
  • Two small zipper pockets: on the outer front pockets for flat, small items.
  • Removable 3D polymer pull tabs: make it easier to grasp the retention tabs, even when wearing gloves.
  • Hook-and-loop/MOLLE area on the front: for identification or additional compatible modules.

When adjusting, the rig should sit high enough that you can easily reach the front pockets, but not so high that the shoulder straps pull against your neck. First, adjust the shoulder height and then tighten the waist or back strap only enough so that the system does not sway during movement. Afterward, load it realistically and test sitting, kneeling, and carrying a backpack – only then will you know if a pouch at the chosen position is truly practical.

Terms explained simply

  • Laser-cut MOLLE: the mounting grid is cut directly from a laminate. The function corresponds to MOLLE/PALS, but the system can be designed to be flatter and lighter.
  • Front flap: a removable or repositionable front element that is attached to a carrying system and forms the actual organizational surface.
  • 3D Polymer Pull Tab: a shape-retaining pull tab that is easier to grasp than a flat fabric loop.
  • SAPI size M: describes a standardized plate shape. The provided slot does not mean that a protective plate is included.

Selection advice: Does the product fit your setup?

Choose the Modular Chest Rig 4xM4 if you value convertibility and system compatibility more than maximum integrated storage space. The classic Chest Rig MK II offers larger side pockets and more built-in storage but is less versatile. The Small Combi Rig is more compact and relies more on interchangeable inserts. Before purchasing, you should consider whether you will actually use the rig as part of a modular system – otherwise, you are paying for features you may never need.
