The OTS (Outdoor Tactical Shorts) Ultra Aero-Tech from Helikon-Tex were specially developed for maximum activity under extreme conditions. When temperatures rise (optimal operating range from 19 °C to 40 °C), these tactical shorts play to their full strengths. They combine an ultra-light feel with the uncompromising functionality you expect from the Helikon-Tex Outback line.
Whether at the shooting range (Range Days), hiking, bushcrafting, or in dynamic urban everyday life – these shorts keep you cool when things heat up.
The Highlight: The Aero-Tech Fabric
The innovative Aero-Tech material (100% polyester with a grammage of 156 g/m²) is feather-light and extremely breathable. It actively supports the body's temperature regulation and quickly wicks moisture away to the outside. Thanks to an additional hydrophobic (water-repellent) coating, dirt and light splashes simply roll off, making the shorts particularly easy to care for and extremely quick-drying.

Despite the minimalist weight, you don't have to compromise on equipment. The ingenious pocket system offers organized space for your smartphone, multi-tool, wallet, and even magazines:
2 Classic Front Pockets: With reinforced edges to prevent damage from the clips of pocket knives or flashlights.
2 Cargo Thigh Pockets: Generously cut and secured with robust YKK® zippers.
2 Hook-and-Loop Pockets: Perfectly positioned on the thighs, ideal for smartphones or additional equipment.
4 Back Pockets: Divided into two wide, open pockets and two narrower inner pockets for smaller essentials or magazines.
Ergonomics and Fit
The ergonomic, slightly shorter cut adapts to every movement without restricting in the crotch or on the thighs. Instead of a classic button, a wide hook-and-loop closure at the waistband ensures flexible width adjustment of up to 6 cm. This is supported by an elastic band in the rear waistband area. The wide belt loops are designed for belts up to 50 mm wide and have additional eyelets on the front loops for securing equipment with carabiners or cords.
