DESCRIPTION
With the Bearcat Ultralight Plate Carrier, Direct Action consistently reduces material to the functionally necessary. The result is a very lightweight platform that can still accommodate front flaps, back panels, and parts of the Spitfire system. The elastic construction is designed for various plate shapes such as SAPI and Swimmer Cut. For beginners, it is particularly important to know that the base carrier is not a complete "ready-to-use set": A matching cummerbund is not included in the base version.
This variant is offered in PenCott WildWood. The color does not change the basic construction or the intended plate fitment.
When using the Bearcat, planning the overall system is particularly important because the cummerbund is not part of the basic delivery scope. Therefore, choose the plate and carrier size first, then the appropriate cummerbund, and only then the front flap or back panel. This prevents individual components from being mechanically mountable but not fitting your desired comfort level in total. An ultralight carrier shows its strength primarily when the accessories are also consciously reduced. Anyone who expands it with a large number of heavy pouches will lose a large part of the weight advantage of the minimalist basic platform.
