THE SPEEDCROSS IN FUNCTIONAL UPDATE
Higher, faster, further - true to the functional vision of the shoe long established among trail runners and tactical athletes, Salomon once again scratches its own records with the 6th version of the Speedcross 6 Forces: With the proven recipe, but even lighter materials and an improved grip, the shoe is now even less susceptible to dirt. In the tactical "Forces" version, it also has a particularly wide cut in the forefoot area, providing more space and thus comfort even during lengthy operations.
OUTSOLE
One of the most important changes to the Speedcross is its sole, which is made from Salomon's Mud Contagrip. As the name suggests, the rubber sole is characterized by maximum grip on loose, soft, rough and uneven surfaces. With deep and sharp lugs, the sole is designed for the best adhesion, which also quickly drains mud and thus offers ideal grip even on wet surfaces.
MIDSOLE
Proven and therefore unchanged is the Speedcross 6's midsole system, which with the typical EngeryCell active foam offers particularly high energy return with simultaneously excellent cushioning and durability. The sole is welded to the upper material, so that the classic Speedcross comfort also promises the necessary peace of mind in tactical use in the new version.
UPPER MATERIAL, FIT AND LACING
With its Sensifit construction, Salomon finally provides the precise and optimal hold that ensures the shoe's extraordinary safety, especially in tactical use: The SensiFit concept consists of three components: the upper material, the lining and the lacing. These three elements combine to create an individual and precise fit that supports the foot while guaranteeing flexibility and comfort.
The upper material of the Speedcross 6 consists of a flexible anti-debris mesh that adapts closely to the foot, thus providing support. The tightly woven mesh prevents dirt from accumulating between the foot and the footbed without compromising the breathability of the upper material. The woven ripstop nylon fabric is robust and protected against abrasion and sharp edges.
The lining is soft and breathable, providing comfortable cushioning and good air circulation.
As the third component of the SensiFit construct, the Quicklace lacing offers a particularly simple but strong lacing with a single pull, so that the shoe can be put on quickly and easily and has an optimal fit.
With its background as a trail running shoe and in its tactical functional update, the Speedcross 6 Forces is the functional extension of the classic combat boot, which is now even more reliable and secure for operations on difficult and wet surfaces.
