DESCRIPTION
The Snugpak® All-Weather Tarp is an impressive 9.3 m² diamond-shaped protective sheet suitable for bushcraft, wild camping, group activities, and military use. The tarp is the perfect companion for any outdoor survival adventure and offers versatile protection against the elements. Developed by experienced military veterans, the Snugpak® All-Weather Tarp provides year-round protection from sun, wind, rain, and snow. Designed as a diamond-shaped (rhombus) tarp, this all-weather cover can be configured as a fly, tarp, lean-to shelter, emergency bivy, and other free-standing tarp designs. Ideal for wild camping, expeditions, or as an emergency shelter for individuals and small groups. It can even be used as an emergency stretcher if needed. The color of the tarp is a light olive green, making it perfectly suited for use in European landscapes and compliant with current wild camping guidelines. It comes complete with 4 extendable guy lines and 8 lightweight tent pegs. Some tarp systems are often small and rectangular, which makes construction or setup difficult in rough weather: the Snugpak® All-Weather Tarp is 3x3 m, allowing it to accommodate both users and their equipment in a variety of traditional tarp configurations, as well as more ingenious, free-standing styles using other equipment such as trekking poles, paddles, etc. Free-standing tarps can be built in environments and terrains without the need for perfectly placed trees. Using standard equipment, such as trekking poles, the Snugpak All-Weather Tarp can be constructed in various free-standing designs to protect the user in different situations, depending on the bad weather. From standard wind shelters with a 45° incline to the comprehensive protection of a manta tarp, the impressive 2000 mm hydrostatic head ensures you stay dry in wet weather. The All-Weather Tarp can be configured as an additional safety element for outdoor activity group leaders in a big-top design, allowing 4 or more people to find shelter in bad weather, making it an ideal refuge for changing clothes. If needed, users can use the small, lightweight poppers along the edges to transform the All-Weather Tarp into an improvised bivvy bag, which then creates a waterproof, enclosed sleeping area. In a time-critical emergency where an injured person needs to be moved for safety reasons, the All-Weather Tarp can be configured as an emergency stretcher. Simply fold the shelter in half to form a rectangle, then tie a large overhand knot in each corner.
